Scarecrow and the Spider

Rawr!  Don't eat my veggie garden u birds!

Yay!!!  We actually got two lovely days of weather after all that depressing rain.  Nice weather makes me feel happy and for some reason want to sing grunge music...i know, contradictory.

This weekend, at work, we are having a festival called The Edible Garden Festival where we have a bunch of workshops on growing ur own food and fun activities, one of which is a scarecrow contest!  So you know I totally had to make one.  That crazy picture of a monster looking hamburgler kinda guy was my scarecrow.  It was my momma's idea (we get the kookiness from her)  It's a "Little Shop of Horrors" kinda feel :)

My friend did an Obi Wan Kinobi (uhhh to the spelling?) scarecrow where she printed a picture of his face, put him in a cloak, and printed a sign that said "This is not the corn you are looking for."  I think it's genius.  Oh and there are crows where storm trooper helmets surrounding it lol


Continuing on the subject of creating kooky decorations for Fall, I'm gonna start working on a huge black spider to put in my front yard.  I think I'll make him out of large plastic bags..maybe he'll have babies!!!!

And (drum roll please ::::::::) this year for halloween, I shall be.......AN EWOK! I know, it's gonna be amazing.  Especially since I'm forcing my six foot boyfriend to be one too.  We've got these great ewok face beanies this lady made on etsy (yes I had them before I ever thought of being one for halloween)   

I'd also like to be a zombie, a flower, and a turtle, but I don't think it'd be possible for that many costume changes in one night...or 

maybe so :)
