Shoe Garden Update:

Remeber those cute pink and green shoes that I stuck in my garden and planted some herbs in?...Yeah, well.  Total Fail. The shoes were apparently not deep enough to hold enough soil so everytime I watered or it rained..the soil spilled out and seeds sloshed around and.... basically failure.  My mom said, "I told you so."  And, "those are just going to disinegrate if you leave them out here." Well either they disinegrated into ash, little gnomes stole them and are using them as homes, or most likely mom threw em out lol, but they have now disappeared.

So now for round two Shoe Garden Magic!  New ideas: To use old boots b/c they can hold more dirt.

I'll post picture updates and hope that it works this time!

Maybe I'll try some new herbs I found that we can grow in Florida  :)

Anise (Pimpinella anisum) is a small annual plant (no taller than two feet) grown for its seeds. Because of its many white flowers, the plant is attractive in a flower garden or as a border plant. Leaves may be used fresh.

Lovage (Levisticum officinale) is a tall perennial herb which smells, tastes, and looks like leaves of celery. The leaves and stems are used fresh as needed. Other useful parts are seeds and oil extracted from the roots.
Not much information is available on the culture of lovage in Florida. Usually, the plant is started from seeds or transplants, spaced eight to ten inches apart in the row.
